For Traveling Professionals
Licensing Information
This section below is only for Licencing based professions, if you are a certified based profession, such as Yoga Instructor, Pilates Instructor, Fitness Trainer, or Meditation Instructor then your certifications transfer to anywhere in the USA. So if you are a certified based instructor then you will be prompted to choose the states you would like to travel/take assignments in.
For Licenced professions, You must be licenced in each state you want to work. The more states you are licensed in, the more opportunities you will qualify for and the more likely you are to be matched with luxury resort contracts.
Where to Start
We recommend starting with:
- Your current home state license
- One additional state where you would like to travel and work
But you may just start with your home state if you prefer and start taking contacts there and then add further licencing later.
Licensing Reimbursement Program
To help expand your travel opportunities, we offer a Licensing Reimbursement Program.
After successfully completing your first contract of 2 months or longer, we will reimburse the cost of obtaining a new state license through License Endorsement — up to $200 per license.
Eligible professionals may receive reimbursement for up to:
- 1 new state license reimbursed per calendar year
This allows you to gradually expand your travel regions and increase your contract opportunities nationwide.
What Is License Endorsement?
License Endorsement is the process of obtaining a professional license in another state based on your current active license.
Instead of starting over completely, the new state reviews your existing qualifications, including:
- Current active license status
- Education and training hours
- Exam verification
- Work history and experience
- Disciplinary history, if applicable
If you meet that state's requirements, a new license will be issued for that state.
Common Requirements for License Endorsement
Most states require some combination of the following:
Active License Verification
Verification that your current license is active and in good standing.
Education Hour Requirements
Each state has different minimum education requirements. Typical ranges include:
- Massage Therapy: approximately 500–1,000 hours
- Esthetics: varies by state
- Cosmetology: approximately 1,000–2,100 hours
If your original state required fewer hours than the new state, additional requirements may include:
- Continuing education
- Verified work experience
- Additional training hours
Exam Verification
Some states also require proof of completed licensing examinations, such as:
- MBLEx for Massage Therapy
- NIC examinations for Cosmetology professions
- State Board examinations
